About Florida Terrace
Florida Terrace, located at 2117 Florida Avenue, Lynchburg, is a new apartment complex providing Central Virginia with affordable housing. The subdivision includes 20 one-bedroom, one-bathroom and 11 two-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bathroom apartments, primarily designed for individuals/families with disabilities who also have lower incomes. Tenants residing at Florida Terrace will have incomes of no greater than 60 percent of the area median income (AMI).
the design of Florida Terrace includes one 23-apartment, two-story building with an elevator and two additional quadruplexes, the latter with units at ground level. All interior and exterior construction will meet DHCD and Virngia Housing Minimum Construction Guidelines. Additionally, all apartments will meet Virginia Housing Universal Design standards and Section 504 accessibility standards.
CVPDC is proud to continue with its mission to help develop solutions for housing needs within the Region 2000. By contributing to the funding of the new Rush Homes project, CVPDC has been able to assist in bringing some much-needed housing to the Greater Lynchburg area.
