In cooperation with State Agencies, the CVPDC is routinely requested to provide environmental and intergovernmental reviews. CVPDC staff seeks feedback from member local government staff or questions before submitting a response to the requesting agency.
Environmental reviews can include Environmental Assessments and Impact Reports (EIRs) for major state projects, Groundwater Withdrawal Permits, Virginia Water Protection Permits, and Virginia Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Permits.
Intergovernmental reviews include state agency grant applications for federal funding and funding for projects involving transit and mobility enhancement for seniors and individuals with disabilities (FHWA Section 5310). State agency applications include US EPA Superfund programming and site remediation (CERCLA), US EPA Clean Diesel funds (DERA), and capitalization funds for the Virginia Clean Water Revolving Loan Fund for wastewater treatment facility improvements from US EPA.
CVPDC staff will collect written responses from chief administrative officers of Central Virginia local governments or their designees for submittal to the applying agency either on letterhead or on this fillable form.
