The Region 2000 Services Authority is comprised of the following four participating members: Appomattox County, Campbell County, Nelson County, and the City of Lynchburg. These four participating communities agreed collectively on how they plan to address their solid waste collection and disposal needs and the context in which solid waste management programs occur in the region. As of July 2008, these member communities coordinated their efforts that have resulted in greater cooperation, decreased costs of providing service to their customers, and better protection of human health and the environment.
