CVPDC has funded a new housing project for Rush Homes, named Florida Terrace.
Located on Florida Avenue, the Florida Terrace will be three new apartment complexes that offer disability-friendly, affordable housing to Lynchburg, Virginia residents. This building project will bring 31 affordable and accessible homes to the area.
CVPDC is proud to continue with its mission to help develop solutions for housing needs within the Region 2000. By contributing to the funding of the new Rush Homes project, CVPDC has been able to assist in bringing some much-needed housing to the Greater Lynchburg area.

About Rush Homes
Rush Homes is a Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development and City of Lynchburg-certified Community Housing Development Organization. They are also a Virginia Housing (formerly Virginia Housing Development Authority) Certified Property Manager. All Rush Homes multi-family housing developments are EarthCraft-Certified, which meant they are highly energy efficient, have better indoor air quality and are more durable. They work to continue opening doors and removing barriers to home people with both disabilities and low incomes.
Rush Homes is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization that offers residential support to help tenant families improve their lives and avoid eviction. Their program helps tenant families improve their social connections and life skills, leading to a better quality of life—which leads to positive benefits for all.
