A suvery is available to submit feedback on activities and access.
During 2021, the Middle James River Vision Plan, a blueprint to expand interaction with the James Riverin and around Amherst County and Lynchburg City, is being developed. The planning process will explore a variety of possibilities - as shared by community stakeholders - to tailor the best waterfront for our comunity. The vision includes more activities, access, and features that support those seeking a quiet refuge as well as to those seeking adventure.
What do you envision? Please help craft the plan by participating in a five-minute, interactive survey here.
The project is a partnership between Amherst, Lynchburg, Central Virginia Planning District Commission, James River Association, and the National Parks Service Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance program.
