The CVPDC has received a $75,000 from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) Chesapeake Bay Small Watershed Planning and Technical Assistance Grant program.
The project will evaluate science/engineering-based project to evaluate and recommend strategies to lessen the impact of sediment, nutrient, and stormwater to support the protection of the James River in and around the City of Lynchburg and Madison Heights, Amherst County.
The two-year project, which will be led by a consulting/engineering firm and include public engagement, will begin in late-spring 2023.
