Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce at its annual Excellence in Business ceremony honored Traci Blido as 2020 Citizen of the Year. Currently serving as, Executive Director, Virginia Career Works – Central Region, Blido was recognized for her years of professional and private citizen leadership and positive benefit to the Bedford community. From 2011 to July 2021 Blido served as Bedford Director of Economic Development where she was instrumental in attracting new (including Beale’s Brewery, Belvac, LiteSheet Solutions, and Nanotouch) and strengthening existing businesses in Bedford. A Bedford resident, Tracy extends her positive community contribution in her private time as a long-time supporter of Rotary International and Bedford Rotary Club, where she wrote a grant for a new beginner disk golf course at Liberty High School. She also volunteers with Brook Hill Farm where youth and teens receive life skills and equine therapy. Congratulations to Traci Blido for this well-deserved honor.
