The Central Virginia Planning District Commission (CVPDC), in collaboration with the Greater Lynchburg Transit Company (GLTC) and Campbell County, is conducting two surveys to assess the interest in, and potential need for future transit service along the Timberlake Road corridor. The feedback received from these surveys will be used to inform future planning efforts and will serve as a foundation to seek a future transit expansion study, if the need for such is demonstrated.
Both surveys will be open from June 8 to June 30, 2026 and will take approximately 5-7 minutes to complete.
The first of these surveys, the Timberlake Area Transit Needs Survey is intended for those who live, work or travel along or around the Timberlake corridor. Participants who complete the survey and share their contact information will be eligible to win a $25 gift card.

Second, businesses and employers along/near Timberlake Road are asked to complete the Timberlake Area Employer Survey to share your perspective and help inform future planning efforts. Additionally, a virtual public meeting will be held on June 17 at noon for Employers to share their perspectives.
